I must say that you are a very pretty girl.  I've been looking around on the internet for some information about how people grow up after they get sick with meningitis.  I discovered you from the photos your parents posted on the meningitis angels website and you gave me great hope.  You are so pretty!  My little niece in New Zealand caught the meningococcal B strain when she was just six months old and she is also very cute. She also lost her arms and legs but loves life, regardless.  Her name is Charlotte and she is now nearly two years old. Would you send her a message and tell her how things are going for you.  What you enjoy doing and things you don't.  She's a little young to read but I know she's going to be very smart like you.  I  simply can tell that from your photos.  Her Dad's email is maxgain10@hotmail.com.

Animation01dI have a friend who's tiny 3 pound granddaughter is in distress.

As I searched for a comforting way to help her to get through this time

of fear and worry while the doctors give their energy to healing Felicity,

I found this site about Lauren.

I feel God led me here, and want you to know that on the 21st I and my

 friends will be praying for Lauren too.

Animation01dDearest Lauren, little precious girl, I know you are scared and hurting.

But we want you to know God has sent special angels to watch over you and  love you.

 Your mommy and daddy love you so and I know they talk to

God everyday about making you better.

 I am reminded of a beautiful poem written by one of our other Earth Bound Angel Girls,

Leslie, it goes like this,

The power of prayer is more powerful than bombs or machine guns.
The power of prayer can always save someone.
Just look at me and you will see just what it can do.
The power of prayer lies within you.
No you cannot see it on your hands or feet,
It's in a place that cannot be seen.
For when God put you together, He was very smart.
So if you lost your arms and legs you will still have your heart.
Your heart is where the power of prayer is .
You take it anywhere, anyplace, and with you it still lives.

We pray this birthday is filled with love, joy and peace of 

heart and that you will be healed and grow to celebrate many

Holy Spirit  with her...I pray she will be able to handle recovery

and being a new person.  That's a lot for anyone, especially a 5 year old baby girl.

Animation01dLauren - the name means laurel of flowers and a thing of beauty.

Her beauty that matters is within her heart, not in her fingers and toes.

She and her family have been chosen to endure this experience -

 which is certainly nothing short of torture especially for her family -

as they have the strong faith of God within them and they trust

Jesus to tend to their baby girl.

God's will WILL be done and I pray that God's will means

that she will get to spend more time with her family.

Father, she is but a baby and she has brought so much joy to her

parents, as all our children do. Please, if it is your will, allow them to show

YOU their strength and determination, and turning to you for that

strength in raising her to be a productive and faithful testament

on earth and to help others who need to hear such a strong testament.
