| Don't
Quit: When things go wrong as they some times will, When the road your
trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, when
you want to smile, but you have to sigh When care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must but don't you quit. Success is failure turned inside out, The
silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are. It
may be near when it seems afar, So stick to the fight when your hardest hit, its
when things go wrong, that you must not quit.
This is Ann, Sherry is my sister, one
of five siblings . Sherry,
has lupus and recently had meningitis. The meningitis caused severe brain
damage. She was in a coma for nearly three months. The neurologists told us that
if she came out of the coma she would never be capable of any motor functions
due to the areas that were damaged in the brain. They suggested nursing home
placement and told us she wasn't a candidate for rehab. We refused to accept
this and demanded she be placed in a rehab center and begin hyperbaric
treatments . She has had 32 to date and is walking with assistance.
Her trach has been removed, she can type on the computer and best of all she can
hug and kiss her two children .

She
works hard to recover and is encouraged by the love of her husband ,
Johnny and their boys, John, age 12 and Jacob age 4 and our family.

Sherry is pictured here with her twin , Terry.

be able to care for your boys as you did before. with all my love your
big sister, Brenda
Hello
Sherry,
Your sister told me about you on an internet message
board . Don't ever give up! I believe that anything is possible and hard
work is rewarded.
I wanted to tell you a true story that I think you
will find inspiring.
On November 17, 1991, a football player named Mike of
the Detroit Lions
suffered brain and severe spinal cord injuries
during a game. When Mike came around he was paralyzed. The doctors told him
that he would likely never walk again and need someone to take care of him for
the rest of his life. Well, stubborn old Mike was not going to take no for an
answer, he was determined to walk again. Slowly, after years of
rehabilitation, Mike regained control of his body. Today Mike is able to walk
and is nearly 100% self sufficient.
I hope the best for you and your family in the
future,
Sincerely, Mark from Michigan
Sherry,
My name is Crystal. I am 21 years old & have
Cerebral Palsy. I myself, have a twin sister named Chairity. She lives in
heaven. God took her home 2 months before birth.
I just wanted tell you how much your story
touched my heart. You and your family are in my prayers!
God Bless You Sweetie!!!

I
TOO SUFFERED FROM MENINGITIS, BUT IT WAS WHEN I WAS A SMALL CHILD. MY FAMILY
SAYS I DIED TWICE, THE SECOND TIME THEY PRONOUNCED ME DEAD. BUT THEY ASKED OUR
PASTOR AT THE TIME TO COME IN AND PRAY. YOU KNOW WE'VE HEARD OF PEOPLE BEING
RAISED FROM THE DEAD IN THE BIBLE, WELL I'M LIVING PROOF THAT THEY ARE STILL
BEING RAISED. THAT WAS 35 YEARS AGO AND I AM STILL ALIVE AND WELL, NO SIDE
EFFECTS. WHAT GOD DID FOR ME HE CAN DO FOR YOU TOO. HE IS STILL WORKING
MIRACLES TODAY, HIS WORD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER. THE MIRACLES
HE DID THEN, HE WILL STILL DO TODAY. REMEMBER THE MAN AT THE POOL OF BETHESDA,
HE LAY THERE FOR YEARS BUT WHEN JESUS WALKED BY IT WAS HIS TIME, LIKE YOUR TIME
WILL COME. KEEP THE FAITH AND GOD WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH. DON'T EVER LET
ANYONE SAY TO YOU GOD CAN (CAN CARRY'S A LITTLE DOUBT), TELL THEM GOD WILL. I
HAD A BOUT WITH CERVICAL CANCER LAST YEAR AND WHEN SOMEONE WOULD SAY GOD CAN, I
WOULD POLITELY CORRECT THEM AND TELL THEM GOD WILL. READ JOHN 14:14, THAT GOT
ME THROUGH ALLOT. PRAYERS ARE GOING UP.
Hi
Sherry,
My name is Tammy Dean and I am
on the prayer list for the Gospel Station over the web. Just wanted you to know
that you have been in my prayers. May the strength of the Lord fill you and His
blessings be upon you. Psalm 91
1: He that dwelleth in the
secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2: I will say of the Lord, He
is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him will I trust.
3: Surely He shall deliver you
from the snare of the fowler and from the raging epidemic.
4: He shall cover you with His
feathers and under his wings shall you trust, His truth shall be a shield and
buckler.
11: For He shall give His
angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
12: They shall bear you up in
their hands, lest thou dash your foot against a stone.
Trust God, never cease to pray,
and know that others lift you up in prayer each day.
May God richly bless you and
your family, Love in Christ.

My name is Tracy Paulk and I work with your sister Ann at Irwin County
Hospital. She keeps all of updated on your progress. I am so proud of you.
You are so lucky to have a sister like Ann and also such a supportive family.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep up the good work! With love, Tracy
Sherry
Manning,
You have been in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I am so proud of you,
I have never seen anybody work as hard as you have for the past year.
Today July 8th was a year since you became so ill, and you have came so
far. You will never know the joy it brought to me today to hear you
talk. Keep it up girl, God is on your side. With all my love, your big sister
Brenda
Sherry,
I have been really touched with your story and your blessings from God. It
strengthens faith in God to share blessings like you and my grandson Gabe
Thornton and others have received from our precious Savior Jesus Christ. As it
is made so plain By my stripes you are healed . All we need to do is keep the
faith and know that God is an on time God. Gabe is a another meningitis Angel
. He still has many problems. He is ten years old . He lost a leg, some
fingers and has had about 23 surgeries and many, many more to endure in the
next few years . He still can't walk well with out his sticks. He stayed on
life support for a month and a half, and is one hundred percent mentally
capable. GOD'S SO GOOD!!! His growth plates were damaged so he looks about
five years old and is ten he has a twin brother who is normal size and this
bothers him a little but not much. I wish you could see him .He is such a
trouper. Sometimes he will tell us to take his leg off so he can win a race or
game there doing. He says he can fly with out it. A Humorous little boy
after all that) He also had to go through the Hyperbaric Chamber like you are
doing his was to keep from loosing any more limbs. and it worked. Keep up the
good work Sherry, and always remember (Isaiah 40:29-31) He gives power to the
faint; and to them that have no might he increased strength. Even the youths
shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall; But they that
wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings
as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not
faint. I used to work with Ann ,and Trevor at Coffee Regional Hospital. You
are fortunate to have a loving family. Keep trusting God

Sherry,
We are so honored to be a part of the concert your sister, Ann is putting
together on your behalf. We are looking forward to meeting all your friends,
family and hopefully you. I pray the concert will be a wonderful success and
lives will be changed. Until 5 years ago, I worked as a nurse in home health
care. I took care of very ill children and adults in their home. Some with
situations similar to yours. Good one on one care makes such a difference. So,
I understand from that point of view what you and your family are going thru. I
had the opportunity to bring the love of God into the homes I worked in and that
brought my life so much joy. Knowing that somehow I could make a difference
through Jesus Christ working in me. I have been praying for you and your family
ever since Ann contacted me about doing the concert. I wrote a song about 6
years ago called "Mountain" and I plan to sing it at the concert. I just know it
will bless and encourage you. I pray God's blessings, strength and healing over
you right now in the name of Jesus.
God Bless,
Angela Fulkerson

Hey
there, don’t know if you remember me or not? But I remember you! You were
about 5 or 6 years old I think? I'm your cousin Donny, I even lived with y'all
for a few months when I was about 15years old. I've been praying for you a lot
the last few months "when I found out what had happened". I'm so sorry that
this has happened to you, and Terry," We didn’t even know about her problems
either till recently?!" Its sometimes so hard to understand why bad things
happen to good people! I'm just glad your doing better, I know this has been
very hard on everybody down there," we live in WA state now, and have for the
last 15 years or so." Sorry its taken this long to write to you, were not very
well informed of things going on down there. How much can you remember of your
child hood? I cant imagine what it must be like to go into a coma like that,
and then come out?! do you remember every thing that happened till the time
you went under, at least? Sorry if I sound nosey, I'm just so amazed at what a
miracle it is for you to have come out of this, and doing better!! We will
continue to pray for you and all your family as long as it takes for you to
get back to normal!! Well Better close for now, write when you can, and keep
on believing in yourself, and the Lord,.. because you are a living miracle!!
God bless you!
love,
your cousin: Donny, Kelly, and kids

Hi Sherry........I hope you
are feeling better these days....I think of you often and continue to pray
for a full recovery for you...how is your mom and dad doing? We haven't
heard anything from them in a while......We miss you, we love you and
can't wait to see you again.....you are truly an inspiration for the rest
of us........
love,
Aunt Jennie and Uncle
Raymond
Dear
Sherry,
My name is Debbie Brown, the kids called me Ms. Debbie at school. I used to
volunteer with you at Bryceville Elementary school in our sons' class. I am so
happy to hear of all the miracles in your life and I will keep you in my prayers
for God to continue making your prayers come true. You and your family have
done a lot of hard work to lend God a helping hand. I e-mailed your sister Ann
to let her know who I am also. I am busy taking care of my Mom who is pretty
sick right now. I will check in on you from time to time but I will continue to
pray for you daily.
God Bless You,
Debbie Brown (TJ's Mom)
Sherry,
I
know your sister through Irwin County Hospital. She passed along the
information of your illness over the past 6 months. God has truly been
pouring out his blessings on all of you! We do serve a God that still
performs miracles! Some people say that God works in mysterious
ways, I personally feel that God works in
magnificent ways! There’s absolutely nothing mysterious about it! May
God continue to richly bless you and let his healing powers flow through
you! Love in Christ,
Rev.

Dear
Sherry,
I just happened-up on
your web site as I was doing some reading on hyperbaric treatments. You
don't remember me, but your family does. I am Carol Dimsdale, your Case
Manager at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. It's hard to believe how far
you've come. I saw you when you could do nothing but lie in the bed and
stare into space. You surely are a MIRACLE! I can vouch that you have a
dedicated and caring family who never gave up on you and were in that
hospital every day you were there!
I was surprised to read
that your sister, Ann works at Irwin County Hospital. Would you believe
my husband graduated from Irwin County High School and lived in that area
until we moved to Jacksonville in 1988? His name is Ted and he knows most
everyone in Ocilla.
I try to stay in touch
with Dr. Murray and sometimes we still have patients that we take care of
together. Dr. Murray--he's the greatest, isn't he? What would we do
without his devotion? He never gives up on anyone!
Well Sherry, I'm glad you
are doing so well. Keep up the good work and come back to visit us at
Brooks. I know your nurses and therapists would love to see you.
Love,
Carol Dimsdale
